I'm glad you guys always comment on the flyers!! Handmade flyers are a dying art, but I just love them so much, I still make 'em! Here's a few of the recent ones..

OUR LAST ALTA SHOW WAS A BLAST! and so was the GYPSY DEN!!

HI EVERYONE..GONNA DO A BIG POST TODAY!

SO, WE PLAYED OUR FINAL ALTA SHOW ON DEC 27TH. IT WAS SUPER FUN!! WE HAVE ENJOYED A LONG STANDING RESIDENCY THERE FOR THE LAST TWO YEARS...IT STARTED WITH US PLAYING THE LAST SATURDAY OF EVERY MONTH AND THEN IT WAS EVERY OTHER MONTH..BUT, IT'S TIME FOR SOMETHING NEW... WE HAVE MADE MANY FANS THERE AND MET A LOT OF AWESOME PEOPLE... SOME OF YOU HAVE EVEN BECOME OUR FRIENDS AND HELPED US OUT BY TAKING PHOTOS, VIDEO, DOING BLOG POSTS AND MYSPACE BULLETINS ABOUT US..SO THANKS! THE SHOWS AT ALTA WERE ALWAYS FUN AND IT HAS BEEN OUR PLEASURE TO PLAY FOR YOU GUYS IN SUCH A FUN ENVIRONMENT! FAMILIAR FACES IN THE CROWD ARE GREAT TOO! (MEAGAN, BLAKE..I'M TALKING ABOUT YOU!)

AND OUR SHOW AT THE GYPSY DEN WAS SUPER FANTASTIC AS WELL! THERE WERE A LOT OF FAMILIAR FACES THIS TIME AROUND (TUNA!! ,THE QUEEN OF MERCH!!) AND A LOT OF NEW FRIENDS/FANS WERE MADE. THANKS TO ALL THE PEOPLE WHO STUCK AROUND AFTER WE PLAYED TO SAY HI AND TALK TO US. AND I REALIZE A LOT OF YOU DROVE FAR (3 hours is kinda far..huh summer?) TO SEE US, WE APPRECIATE IT! THANKS GUYS!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS/ HOLIDAY SHOWS!!

Hi EVERYONE! AHS will be playing 2 shows in the next two weeks!

* The first is at Alta in Newport Beach. This will be the last show of our residency. We'll try to make this a memorable occasion. We'd love for you to be a part of it.

*And the second show is at the Gypsy Den. We love the Gypsy Den! It is located in the downtown Arts District of Santa Ana. They have great food and they serve beer and wine! The sound is always great as well. Both shows are FREE and ALL AGES!

The Holidays are coming up pretty fast and we're all gonna be busy soon, so I'm giving you a heads up..AHS is playing Avanti Cafe's Holiday Art Show. Please mark your calendar before you forget. SATURDAY NIGHT, DECEMBER 6TH!!! There will be a lot of really cool stuff to buy that shouldn't be too pricey. I (stacy) will have 5 paintings in the show as well. It's true that I wanted to keep them, but then i was told to "not get too attached..just let them go" . So, i did just that and I hope they find a good home..maybe yours? Avanti is a great vegetarian café so there will be really good food and drinks too!! See you there!

ARMS AROUND THE STEREO

THIS JUST IN...AHS IS PLAYING THIS SATURDAY NIGHT, NOVEMBER 1ST AT NEW IMAGE ART GALLERY IN LOS ANGELES!! THIS WILL BE A FREE SHOW, ALL AGES, AND FUN!! SO COME ON DOWN IF YOU CAN. SHOW STARTS AT 8PM!!

ANOTHER BAND CALLED FOOLS GOLD WAS HAND PICKED BY DEVENDRA BANHART TO PLAY TOO. THEY'LL PLAY AFTER US..THE ARTIST HAVING THE OPENING IS NAMED KELSEY BROOKES.

The AHS show at Alta was a blast on Saturday night! Thanks to all the peeps who came out and supported us and bought tees and the new cd!!! I know some of you drove over an hour to be there and that is awesome.. Thank You!! I gotta give a shout out to lil' Michelle for baking me vegan cupcakes (very tasty..i know it was probably a pain, but i enjoyed them very much) and to Kristine Tuna, who walked me outside after the show and said "that was soo good" and then started a fight ( the pictures say it all ) with me and then punched me.. Thanks! my jaw still hurts..But seriously, Kristine Tuna does great animations and has been telling a lot of people on Myspace about us.. VERY COOL!! And thanks to Meagan Villescas for taking some great pix of us. We will post those on the website and our Myspace page. We tried to give you guys a fun show, thanks for coming!
